The clock of the end of the world

On January 26, 2016, a group of scientific experts from the University of Chicago decided to keep for 2016 the time of the Apocalypse clock that was only three minutes from midnight.

This body, together with a group of advisors that includes 17 Nobel Prizes and other prestigious researchers, including the British physicist Stephen Hawking have set the time of the end of the world at 23:57 (midnight is the time of the end of the world).

They described that climate change, the arsenal of nuclear weapons and the eventual war between East and West are the main threats that could lead to the "end of the world," the scientists warned.

It must be remembered that in January 2015, scientists placed the clock hand just three minutes from midnight, which means that there were already enough arguments to conclude that the development of events is bringing us closer and closer to the destruction of the human life.

"Three minutes to midnight is very close," the scientists said.

The Bulletin of Atomic Scientist describes the End of the World Clock as "an internationally recognized design that demarcates how close we are to destroy our civilization with the dangerous technologies that we ourselves have created"

We must remember that this bulletin was born in 1945 when a group of scientists created it as a warning message for the world scientific community and highlight the dangers that nuclear weapons had at that time. The clock throughout history has been advanced or delayed 18 times being alone on three occasions only 3 minutes from the end of this world.

How close will we be to the end of the world? Will it take so little time for life in this world as we know it to end? Will there be an apocalypse in our time? Will we live these days?

The word of God indicates that if there will be an end to this world as we and I know it today. Jesus spoke of this same period, as mentioned in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. Biblical prophecy is mentioned as the "safest word" that announces what is to come and it is it that indicates that difficult times will come for the humanity.

"For then there will be great tribulation, which has not been since the beginning of the world until now, nor will there be. And if those days were not shortened, no one would be saved; but because of the elect, those days will be shortened" (Matthew 24: 21-22)

As you can see, times of anguish will come for this world in punishment for disobedience to God's laws. In 1983 in his acceptance speech for the Templeton Prize, Alexander Solzhenitsyn Russian novelist and historian said:

"More than half a century ago, when I was still a child, I remember hearing several elderly people who offered the following explanation for the great disasters that have happened ... 'Men have forgotten God; that is why all this has passed.'"

Yes, unfortunately man has forgotten God, he has forgotten his laws and has turned his back on his Creator without understanding the transcendence that this decision will bring to all mankind and without discerning that "that is why all this has happened." Although man has forgotten God, he has not forgotten man.

The good news is that those days will be shortened, but no one would escape alive. The reason for this decision is directly related to God's love for his "elect."

Would you like to escape the evils that will come at the end of the prophesied world for all mankind? Would you like to be a chosen one?

Jesus Christ repeatedly warned in the gospels: "Keep watch, then, because you do not know what time your Lord is coming" (Matthew 24:42). Jesus also exhorted his followers to: "Watch ... at all times praying that you are held worthy to escape all these things that will come, and to stand before the Son of Man" (Luke 21:36).

Yes, there is limited time, the end of this era is fast approaching, months, weeks, days, hours and minutes count.
